Tanggal 14 Mei 2010, salah satu operator telekomunikasi di Malaysia mengumumkan kerjasama dengan PayPal. Keduanya meluncurkan layanan pembayaran bergerak yang memungkinkan pembeli online untuk memesan barang menggunakan akun Maxis PayPal.
Kerjasama ini merupakan yang pertama di dunia di antara operator jaringan bergerak dan penyedia pembayaran online global. Saat pelanggan Maxis mendaftar, diharapkan mereka akan segera memperoleh manfaat yang PayPal sediakan, dari proses checkout yang cepat dan aman hingga perlindungan pembeli jika barang tidak sampai.

With this new service, they’ll be able to live a cashless and card-free life, with their wallet safely protected, enjoying the flexibility, accessibility and security offered by PayPal’s services through the convenience of the Maxis payments channels. Maxis customers will be able to easily and safely shop online, on their mobile devices and on their television sets in the near future.
